New Patient:
To make a new patient appointment, most people will call us on 01738 248 612. At this point, a member of staff can arrange a time that suits you to come in for your initial consultation. This will be lead by our Chiropractor and Certified Posture Expert Dr. Ashlee Clark. We aim to see you as soon as possible and if required, we can arrange same day appointments.
Alternatively, you can email us on info@duiganchiropractic.com
Initial Consultation:
Normally your initial consultation will last anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour.
During your initial consultation, your Chiropractor will go through a thorough case history with you and elicit information about your concern/problem. At this stage, we will establish what you want to achieve through Chiropractic care.
A comprehensive chiropractic physical examination will be performed with you which will test your reflexes and range of motion, as well as many neurological, orthopaedic, postural, and physical examinations. A full postural evaluation and digital posture analysis will be performed during this appointment.
Our primary concern is to find the root of the problem so that we know how to best treat you.
Report of Findings:
This is the follow-up appointment after your initial consultation. We strive to schedule this within a few days after your initial consultation. During this appointment, Dr. Ashlee will explain and discuss the results of your initial consultation.
If we feel we can help with your condition, we will recommend a treatment plan. We will outline the different aspects of care needed for a full recovery. Your treatment plan will consider your current condition and results found. We will also consider your current lifestyle choices, goals for the future and any challenges that stand in your way.
Your chiropractor is there to answer any questions you may have about your condition and proposed care.
Your health and wellbeing is our primary concern!

Continued care:
Chiropractic adjustments are specific and controlled manipulations, which add motion to restricted areas and help to restore proper function. Other times a slower, constant pressure is used to release the tension. At the time of your first adjustment, everything will be explained to you to ensure you feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Remember, we are experienced, very well trained and highly qualified experts.
As a guide, initial adjustments are usually more frequent and can be up to a couple of times a week. As the problem starts to recover and your body becomes accustomed to its correct alignment, adjustments become less frequent. They will become less frequent until a point where the problem can be managed with a regular maintenance check-up, just like a dental check-up or spine MOT. During continued care specific posture exercises and other home care advice may be prescribed to aid your recovery.
Regular progress checks will be conducted to measure your progress and to provide up to date information about the recovery of your condition. This ensures your care plan is always evolving to get the best results possible.
Our Techniques:
We use a number of highly effective approaches to correct posture, help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approach we use is based on research, our clinical judgment, and years of experience.
